Things To Do In Denver When Youre Not Dead
You may remember the 1995 movie Things to do in Denver When You’re Dead starring Andy Garcia. Denver was portrayed as a bleak, somewhat “dead” (pun intended) city. In many ways that was true but I can tell you as a proud native, Denver 2018 has never been more alive.
Back in 1995 there were a handful of good restaurants, a couple big bars owned by the same people and as for Brew Pubs, maybe two. Culture and entertainment was as limited with only a couple decent festivals and a short run of Cats at the DCPA. If you wanted to go out downtown, there were maybe half a dozen places and you didn’t walk past 17th at night.
A lot has changed in Denver in 20 years. From major music festivals to major interest in the arts and culture to four major league sport teams to more bars, restaurants and brew pubs to count, there is a lot to do in Denver when you’re alive.
