5 Ways to Make Your Home Feel Loved
It’s almost Valentines Day! Hopefully you’re spending it with friends and loved ones (Or maybe you’re going to the giant DMSC Masquerade Ball?). But while you’re going to be having fun and spoiling the ones you love, I wanted to mention that your house could probably use some TLC as well. Here’s 5 easy ways to make your home feel loved- and by that I really mean 10 easy ways to get your home to a place that it doesn’t drive you crazy.
1. Do a hard core clean of your whole house. I know that sounds daunting but there’s plenty of websites that show you how to do it over a month or so and to keep it clean without driving yourself crazy, and it really does make a difference in the feel and warmth of your home.
2.Add Energy Film to your windows. Energy Film is a thin, transparent window film that provides immediate year-round energy savings by retaining interior heat in the winter and blocking solar heat in the summer. Energy film is an inexpensive and easy way to make the home or office more energy efficient while providing UV protection. It is easy to apply and uses no adhesives.
3. Add marbles to the holes in your big fences. They say fences make good neighbors, but I think fanciful fences make GREAT neighbors.
4.Add Crown Molding to the switch plates. I’ve written about this before but I think it’s such a great way to dress up your home a little bit without spending a ton of money.
5. Add a personal touch. People who come into your home invariably make decisions about you based on what they see. Why not personalize it and let your home be about who you are, what you stand for, and a touch of your personality?
